9/30 | DIY Braided Bracelet

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to show you how to make a really cool bracelet out of items you may not expect! I found all of theses items around the house going unused and decided to give them a new life in the form of arm candy! hehe

Here is what you will need:

  • Strand of plastic mardi gras beads
  • 2 3/4 inch t-shirt strips (cut from an old tee shirt)
  • Metal Fold-over Findings with Clasp
  • needle nose pliers

First thing you want to do is cut your necklace between 2 beads.

Then you need to get rid of 2 plastic beads so that the string shows. Do this by placing the bead inside the pliers and smashing it to pieces. I recommend doing this over a trash can, so all the tiny pieces don’t get all over.

The next step is to secure all three of your pieces (2 t-shirt strips and 1 stand of beads) in the Metal Fold-over finding.

Then braid the 3 stands just as if they were hair. Make it tight but not too tight, you will know if it is too tight because you won’t be able to see the beads. (sorry about the poor picture quality)

Just add your other clap and you are ready to rock and role! Super simple and I think they look super cute! They would make the perfect homemade gift too!

Hope you enjoyed today’s post! Have a great day! Why don’t you like us on facebook and stay up to date on everything happening around here!
