Hey everyone! Welcome to the Rainbow Blog hop! First off, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m so excited to be part of this blog hop hosted by one of my best friends, Laura Kelly! She just rocks at putting events together and I’m so excited to be part of it. My color is BLUE! I love blue, not only is blue a great color to Dye clothing, it looks great in your hair. If I do say so myself.
In our package Laura sent us, she included goodies with our color. She gave me some blue hair dye and I really think I like it. HAHA! Anyway, back to the project. I’m creating a Blue Polka Dot Onesie. My baby cousin always is in need of onesies, so I knew he’d love it. Let’s get started.
I took some Tulip Liquid dye, and dyed a white baby onesie. I dyed it in a Mason Jar and used HOT HOT water. After I let it soak in, I put it in the Microwave for 60 seconds. That sets the dye. After, I rinsed the leftover dye out. I then washed it on cold and dried. Now lets start putting our Polka dots on it.
You need a Polka Dot Stencil, a dauber, and Tulip Blue Soft Fabric paint. It’s really easy, just use your paint and start stenciling! I loved this idea with the two tone blue colors. It really is awesome!
You’ll love how this looks and enjoy it! I also used some Painters tape to keep the stencil down as I stenciled. You don’t want to get paint outside the Polka dots!
