Last week while Tanner was visiting me over spring break, we had the opportunity to go to the Turkey Hill Experience with a group of bloggers. It was totally different than I was expecting and we had so much fun! I went with the expectation that we were going for a tour of the factory and maybe get a sample of ice cream. Boy was wrong! The Turkey Hill experience is super interactive and a day filled with fun! Oh and they give you unlimited ice cream samples- how could you not have a good day?
We sure had our fair share of sample. But they were free so what do you expect? The lady giving out the samples was super sweet about it too!
After our bellies were full of delicious Turkey Hill Ice Cream, we were off to explore and have fun!
I knew that Tanner and I made a great team in the craft industry, but it turns out we make an awesome team in the dairy industry. I milked the cow, being the natural farm girl that I am. Then Tanner delivered the fresh milk, cause let’s face it, he is a much better driver than me- but I am getting better!
Turkey Hill must have known I was coming. If you know me at all, you know how I love a good rocking chair. I don’t have one, but oh how I love them. When people ask me what I want to do when I grow up, I’ll say, “Sit on my front porch in my rocking chair while my children play.” This was me in my happy place!
If the rocking chair wasn’t the best part, it was creating your very own ice cream flavor in the Taste Lab. While learning about how Turkey Hill makes their ice cream, you get to dream up your very own unique flavor. I created the best. ice. cream. flavor. ever. What would that be you ask? Cotton Candy ice cream with Lucky Charm marshmallows, thats what!
It was so good! Oh boy did I have a belly ache after! It was so worth it though!
We had a really greta day, and what made it even better is that we got to spend it with Amy from One Artsy Mamma and her sweet little boy!
Oh and if you didn’t know already, Tanner is totally nutty!
