How many of you struggle in the morning getting your kids ready for school? Today, I have the solution for you! Nobody every said bribery was a bad thing, did they? Recently I have been making super cute headbands, like this Frozen inspired one, that the girls love and want to wear. But the deal is if they want to wear a headband, they have to brush their hair. And trust me, it works! The other thing that is really important for this to be successful is a good brush. Brushing their hair shouldn’t be a painful event for either of you.
When I was at Walgreens the other day, I found a great deal on Goody® products. Buy One Get One Free! If you know me, you know I love a good deal. So I picked up the TangleFix brush for the girls because I have heard such great things about it and the Quikstyle one for me! This offer is running until November 1st while supplies last. You must use the Walgreens Balance Rewards card; you can sign up in the store if you do not currently have one.
The TangleFix brush has honestly made mornings so much easier on all of us. No more tears! And I have been loving the Quikstyle one for drying my hair super fast!
On to the bribery: You can either buy cute headbands at the store or online, but they can be a bit pricey. So I opt to make them myself for a fraction of the cost!
Here is what you will need:
- plain white headband
- 2 light blue silk flowers
- 1 white silk flowers
- purple gems
- Frozen Stickers
- Fabric Glue
Step 1: Embellish the white silk flower with a sticker and a few gems.
Step 2: Glue the three flowers to the side of the headband. Overlapping them but having the white one on top.
And there you have it! It was pretty simple and way less expensive than the boutique style headbands! The girls love it and have requested more, so I better get to work!
