Christmas is fast approaching, my friends! Are you as excited as I am for all the fun holiday preparation? I love all the special family memories and traditions that surround Christmas. I would have to say that my top favorite part of the preparation is making ornaments! There are endless ideas for Christmas ornaments. I am definitely a simple person and love me a simple craft project. These Easy DIY Wood Ornaments are just that, and with my new crafting staple, Water Wipes, clean-up is easy-peasy too.

Here is what you’ll need:

wood cut out ornaments from the craft store ($1 each)
acrylic paint in various colors
paint brush
Tacky Glue
glitter
and WaterWipes- natural baby wipes

Let your kiddos go to town painting the ornaments as they please! This isn’t just a kid craft though, so feel free to pick up a paint brush too. We never put anything down on our counters before we paint or do any sort of crafting, personally I Think it takes away some of the fun.

But with WaterWipes, that is not a problem. We can get paint all over without a fret! Unlike most baby wipes, WaterWipes are the only baby wipes that contain absolutly no chemicals, so you can safely use them on and around your kids. They are made of 99.9% water and 0.1% Grapefruit Seed Extract.
I have even been using WaterWipes to clean my paint brushes. They are always handy and won’t hurt the brushes! They are great for anyone with sensitive skin- AND paintbrushes alike!

We wanted to add a little sparkle and pazazz to our ornaments, and what better way to do that then GLITTER! Just add takey glue where you want the glitter and then sprinkle the glitter over that area.

Glitter can be a PAIN to clean up. Sometimes I feel like it will never leave. WaterWipes are my friend is glittery situations too!

While they are quite simple, I think our ornaments cured out so cute. These are going to look great on the tree, but they would also make great reusable tags for gifts!

If you haven’t used WaterWipes yet, you definitely should. I haven’t only been using them in the craft room. They are also great for taking off make up. And for all you mommys out there, you’ll probably love to know that they can even prevent diaper rash!
