Cancer is the worst thing ever, we all know it! I couldn’t imagine watching my child battle it. Caner is also EXPENSIVE. The families not only have to live in fear of losing their child, they are also burdened financially. Aflac, being the great company that they are, has stepped up to the plate to help beat childhood cancer. Aflac’s Duckprints program has been providing funding and support for the fight against childhood cancer for about 20 years. Together with individuals like you all at home, they have been able to donate more than $90 million.
I was so sad when I learned that my dear friend’s son was diagnoses with kidney cancer. I can’t begin to imagine how she is dealing with it, but Marianne has been so strong through it all. There is now a #GOHUGO hashtag where friends, family, and anyone on social media can show him support! Hugo is about done chemo and things are looking up. His most recent scan showed no visible sign of the tumor. Their struggle has been unbelievable, no one should ever have to go through what they have this past year.
They are honestly the cutest family you will ever meet. Marianna posted this on Instagram the other day and I think it is the most adorable thing ever. If you have ever been in the hospital for an extended period of time you are probably all too familiar with the food. They have found a solution! While it is a lot of work on top of everything, it is important them to retain as much of their normal life as possible.
Isn’t he just precious?!
Now you too can leave YOUR footprint in the fight against childhood cancer! All of the net proceeds from Duckprints merchandise – like the annual Holiday Duck, available at participating Macy’s locations or at aflacduckprints.com – go to hospitals treating childhood cancer in the U.S. Aflac will also give an additional $2 to the Aflac Cancer Center for every post, share, tweet, or re-tweet that uses the #Duckprints hashtag on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. So use it up people and lets beat Childhood Cancer! You can also follow the Aflac Duck on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
