Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a great day. Today on the blog I’m going to share with you a fun DIY tutorial teaching you how to build a DIY Paver Planter with products from the The Home Depot. Did you know The Home Depot offers a monthly class called “Do It Herself Workshops?” It is to empower women and teach new DIY skills at each class. I think grabbing a girlfriend or two for a DIH Workshop for the day sounds like a blast to me. My mom and her friends LOVE going. Today’s project is actually inspired by one of their upcoming workshops.
Supplies : 4 or 5 Pavers | Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint | Heavy Duty Liquid Nails | Paint Brush | Plant
1. Glue the four 12×12 inch pavers together using Liquid Nails. This sometimes can be tricky, but if you sit and hold it for a few minutes that seems to help a bunch.
Be sure to be generous with the Liquid Nails. This is what is going to bond your pavers together. After you apply your last paver, let it sit for a few hours to dry.
Now we’re going to paint your paver planter with your Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint. You’re going to love this matte finish paint. It works great on the concrete, but it is also very popular to use when you’re painting thrift store furniture.
After it is painted, let it sit and dry. I love how the pavers look painted, what do you think? For extra protection from the elements, use the Americana Decor Varnish as a top coat.
Now add your plant to it and enjoy it in your outdoor decor this summer. Everyone will love the feel this DIY Paver Planter brings to your outdoor decor. I’m going to place mine on the back deck.
I really hope you enjoyed my spin on The Home Depot’s Do It Herself workshop project. If you want to gain confidence on building and creating simple projects, this class is for you! You will learn all kinds of skills, ask questions, meet new friends and enjoy yourself.
