Teachers are awesome! You may not love them when they assign homework over the weekend, but all in all they are pretty great. I’s sure you all have at least one teacher who you like and who cares about you. Thank them this week of teacher appreciation give them a cute little DIY gift! Here’s a cool last minute Teacher Appreciation Day gift idea using customizable stationary from Expressionery designed by Laura Kelly that your teacher will absolutely love!
For the container part of the gift you will need: a terra-cotta pot, Americana paint, and some paintbrushes
Start off by painting the base of your pot with a solid color. The Americana Multi-Surface paint will cover in one coat and I highly recommend it. Don’t you just love this Flamingo Pink color?!
Next decorate the rim. I painted it with Citron Green first and then added Lavender Stripes on top. The Americana paint only needed two coats too look good which is pretty good if you don’t have Multi-Surface on hand in the colors you want.
While it dries gather the things that you want to put in it. In mine I put this cute Spring Flower Notepad, a cautie-patootie custom Cheerful Owl stamp with my teacher’s name on it, and a handmade flower pen (tutorial coming soon).
I placed all the items in the hand painted pot. I am so excited to give it to my teacher tomorrow. I have to admit that If the stamp didn’t have her name on it, I would have kept it for myself! Check out all the awesome products that Laura Kelly has designed for Expressionery HERE.
