Anyone with girls in the house knows that costumes are not just for halloween! Halloween happens pretty much everyday with the about of dress up that goes on! Today I’ll be sharing with you how to create a super cute and functional DIY Dress Up Bin to store all of those everyday costumes!
You will need: a wooden crate from the craft store, Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint, a paint brush, letter stickers, and wooden heart decals
The first and the funnest part of this project is painting it! The chalky finish goes on so well- you will only need one coat. Another great thing about it is that you can get the kids involved; they’ll love getting to paint and it is easy to fix any blemishes they make cause in the process. The chalky finish paint is easy to smooth out and hides brush strokes quite well!
Next break out the letter stickers! We chose to spell out my dress up bin on ours! You could also use your child’s name, just dress up, whatever you want really (as long as you have enough stickers)!
Add the heart decals onto the front of the box for the finishing touch! I love the sweet decorative touch it adds- I think it brings it all together!
Whats a dress up bin without costumes though!? Just a bin- and that is no fun. My awesome friends from Costume Express hooked us up- keep reading to see how they can hook you up too! The girls love all of the costumes they so generously sent us. It is hard to get them to wear anything but the Elsa costumes!
