Hey everyone! Today on the blog I’m going to share how to create a inexpensive DIY Distressed Holiday Coat Rack. I love when a DIY is not only decor, but a useable DIY too! You will be able to hang your favorite jackets and sweatshirts to grab as you go out in the cold weather. We’re loving this distressed look for the holiday season and I love how easy it is to create using Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint.
Supplies : Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint Romance | Americana Decor Chalky Finish Fortune | Glitter Prints Cardstock | Decou-Page | Wood Pieces | Wood Glue | Nails | Command Hooks | Paint Brush
Step 1 : Paint two of your wood pieces with Fortune Chalky Finish paint and two others with Romance Chalky Finish paint.
Step 2 : Once your paint has dried, take sand paper and lightly sand your wood pieces. This will give the perfect distressed look.
Step 3 : Add a backing support piece of wood with wood glue and a nail or two in each piece of wood.
Step 4 : Cut out a “Merry Christmas” with your die cutting machine using Core’dinations Glitter Prints.
Step 5 : Now use your Americana Decou-Page to decoupage your letters onto your distressed wood pieces.
Step 6 : Now apply your command hooks onto your Merry Christmas sign and you will be able to hang your coats!
