Hey everyone! Today on the blog I’m sharing more on my fun Ugly Sweater Party. We had such a fun time last weekend hosting this party. Today I’m talking all about the food we prepared to host the perfect ugly sweater party. We prepared baked mac and cheese, easy cheesy mashed potatoes, and a Chicken Pot Pie from Marie Callender’s®. All of these yummy foods were a HIT! You will not believe how easy it was to prepare all of this the day of the party.

The first thing I did was head over to Walmart to pick up my Chicken Pot Pie and other supplies for my party! I was able to find such great deals on the food and party supplies. Walmart has everyday great savings on plastic cups, party decor, plastic silverware and more. It’s perfect for me, since they have practically everything.

To get started on preparing your food for the party, you’re going to want to prepare your Marie Callendar’s® Pot Pie first. You’re going to want to follow the box instructions. Quick Tip : To keep the edges from burning, wrap tin foil around them.

To create your mashed potatoes, you’re going to want to purchase a bag of potatoes, peel, clean, and cut them up. You’re going to then want to boil your potatoes and mash them up!

As you’re mashing you potatoes, add a tablespoon or two of sour cream to your mashed potatoes. You can also now add bacon bits, garlic, anything like that to take your mashed potatoes to the next level.

My favorite secret weapon for my mashed potatoes is shredded cheese! You’re going to want to add around 3-6 oz. of shredded cheese. Be sure to mix all of this very nicely.

For your baked mac and cheese, we’ve boiled our noodles and now combining our ingredients. We’re using 8 oz. of shredded cheese for this, 1/4 cup of milk, and 3 tablespoons of butter. Combine this and place into a dish.

Once you’ve placed into a dish, you’re going to want to top this off with more shredded cheese. You can either add breadcrumbs to the whole dish or you can be like us and only add it to half. Your choice! Now bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 325 fahrenheit.

Our pot pie is finished and it looks ever so yummy! I love how you can have such quality foods from Marie Callendar’s® and it take almost no work. I couldn’t tell a difference in one from Marie Callendar’s® and one I would make myself. Score.

I had everything laid out buffet style on the table, so everyone could go and pick out what they wanted. Everything was so yummy, we barely had any room left on our plates! While I was at Walmart, I saw that they had cookie cakes and had to grab that for dessert. Did you all know that cookie cake is my favorite dessert?

This was such a success! I ate so much, that I barely had room for dessert. That is definitely saying something for me.

It’s safe to say that everyone had a blast and enjoyed the food. By the end of the party everyone was asking for more #PotPiePlease.
