I don’t know about you, but I’m always on the lookout for an awesome Mother’s Day gift idea. Have you ever thought about DIY Bookends? My mom is very picky about a lot of things, which means I try to stay away from buying her clothes, jewelry, or anything like that. This year I decided to make her something for her desk at her new job! These L-O-V-E DIY Bookends will be the perfect project for her bookcase. Maybe this would be a great project for your mom too or maybe even yourself!
Supplies : Rapid Set Cement | Americana Acrylics | Paper Mache Letters | Craft Knife | Paint Brush | Industrial Glue
Step 1 : Open your paper mache O-E letters with a craft knife to create a mold for your rapid set cement
Step 2 : Follow the box directions to create your cement and pour it into your paper mache O and E molds Let them harden.
Step 3 : Paint your letters with Americana Acrylics. I used a shade of pink and red.
Step 4: Glue the L and the O together with industrial glue. Repeat to the V and E.
Step 5: Once they’re dry, you have awesome DIY bookends.
