Step 1 : Mark your cardboard every 7 1/2 inches. You will want to fold this 5 times.
Step 2 : Use your yardstick and fold it on your marks with your marker. Cut off any excess with your craft knife. Step 3 : Cut your cardboard into 4 inch strips. Step 4 : Use scrap pieces of cardboard to hold your folded cardboard together. Use DAP® RapidFuse to hold together. Step 5 : Trace around a piece that has been glued together and cut out with craft knife. Step 6 : Trace and cut out a hole for your light. Step 7 : Paint 3 of your cardboard shapes with Americana Decor Satin Enamels. Step 8 : Paint 2 of your cardboard shapes with Americana Decor Metallics. Step 9 : Glue your pieces together and apply pressure for 30 seconds until DAP® RapidFuse sets. Isn’t this a fantastic project to create? I love up-cycling any and everything, specially when it is inexpensive pieces of cardboard. I will be using this light in my office and it seriously makes a great addition.
