5/31 | DIY Urban Office Supply Organizer

This month we were challenged by FloraCraft to create a unique and fun DIY using Make it Fun: Foam Wreath Ring. Once I received my box, I knew I had to use this in a different way instead of just creating a wreath. During a brainstorming session, I thought of the perfect idea and went straight to the craft room. Let me show you exactly how I turned my foam wreath into a DIY Urban Office Supply Organizer!

Supplies: Make It Fun : Foam Wreath Ring  | a piece of round wood | a roll of  your favorite duct tape | 3 small glass vases | a bag of mixed rocks | DAP Rapid Set Glue | paint brush | scissors

Step 1: Take your roll of duct tape and cut several pieces, each about 6 1/2 inches long. Place them one by one around your foam wreath, layering them as you go.

Step 2: Paint your piece of round wood with two coats of Americana Multi-Surface Satin paint in the color Coffee Bean. This doesn’t have to be perfect, as you’re going to fill the bottom of your organizer with the mixed rocks.

Step 3: When your wooden circle is completely dry and the wreath has been covered in the strips of duct tape, flip the wreath over. Take your DAP Rapid Set glue and glue the painted wooden circle onto the bottom of your wreath.

Step 4: Place a heavy object such as a large book on top of the organizer after you’ve glued it to insure proper drying. Allow thirty minutes to set.

Step 5: Once it has set, flip the organizer back over and again use your glue to adhere the three glass vases to the middle of your organizer. Once more let the glue set for thirty minutes.

Step 6: Now that everything is nice and set, just take your mixed rocks and spread them evenly around the bottom of the organizer. Now fill it with all your office must-haves and enjoy your new DIY Urban Office Supply Organizer!

I hope you all got inspired today with this DIY idea! What unique way would you use a foam wreath? Leave me a comment. I would love to hear from you!
