Hey Guys! So I am at college now which is just a really weird thing to say out loud. So far so good. There are so many awesome things about college and dorm living. But there are also a lot of differences from high school and living at home. 8am classes here feel a lot earlier than when my day would start in high school even though it is the same time. It’s weird. I thought each day that I would get up extra early and go get breakfast at the dinning hall before class. Then I realized that I didn’t want to get up an hour earlier just to eat dinning hall food. The dinning hall can come in handy at times, but there is nothing delicious or remotely nutritious about the food there guys. I have found that whole wheat toast with Lara Nut Butter is a great alternative and a quick and nutritious breakfast idea. So today I thought I would share it with you.
Here is a quick video of how to make it:
Isn’t it so simple? It has been my go to and I am loving it.
The first of the two steps in this process is to toast your bread. Dorm rooms don’t typically come with a kitchen area, but this small toaster just sits on my desk and doesn’t take up much room at all.
The next step is the fun part; picking your Lara Nut Butter flavor of the day. They just came out with Banana Nut and Chocolate Coconut flavored Cashew and Almond Butters. They are so yummy and I have been switching it up between the two depending on what mood I am in that morning. They are available exclusively at Costco, so you should definitely pick some up next time you are there stocking up.
It is a great breakfast to eat on the way to class. Sometimes if I have given myself a little extra time, I sit on a bench to eat it. Fancy, I know. This is definitely not just for college students but for anyone looking for a quick and nutritious breakfast!
