Step one: On the piece of thin wood. Draw 3-4 triangles that measure 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Draw a 1.5 inch line up from the middle on the base of all but one. Also draw 1- 3 by 4 inch rectangle for the base.
Step two: Use a craft knife to cut out the shapes that you have drawn. Be very careful and get adult supervision if you need it.
Step three: Paint the rectangle with Americana Cotton Ball Multi-Surface paint.
Step four: Paint the triangle cutouts with Americana Green Apple Multi-Surface paint.
Step five: Paint the small star cutout with Dazzling Metallics in Emperor’s Gold. Glue it to the top of one of the coasters.
Step six: Hot glue the triangle without a groove in the middle of the square piece so that it stands up.
Step seven: Add Snow-Tex to the base of the tree.
Then, when everything is dry, arrange the coasters on top of each other to be a 3D tree! This is such a cute DIY for the holiday season and would made an awesome gift for any drink lover on your list! This might be one of those decorations that they “forget” to put away after the season!
