This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Nationwide. I purchased my own insurance at normal prices. All opinions are 100% mine.
Nationwide provided me with information regarding its SmartRide program.
It’s nothing new to hear about all the technology we have in the world today. Every year it seems like there’s bigger, newer, faster, better technology that sweeps through the nation. Everything is automated, and we are sectioned off in categories. It seems like no businesses care about a personal, two-way interaction or actually trying to help their customers save money. Car insurance is a must, but you don’t have to be a category, stamped as a price and not an individual person with individual needs. You don’t know why all this money is being charged, you just get the bill and pay it. Wouldn’t you love a car insurance program that was specifically designed just for you? SmartRide is car insurance personalized.
Nationwide‘s SmartRide program was created with you in mind, enabling you to earn a discount based on your personal driving behavior. You are finally in control to lower your rates and premiums!
I couldn’t pass up on the program myself! My parents have had Nationwide for a while now, and have overall been satisfied, so when I pitched them the idea, it was a no brainer. Since I am under their insurance policy, they contacted our Nationwide agent on my behalf. She walked them through the details and the amount of savings we could earn, and 10 minutes later, a box with the device was in the mail on its way. She assured us that because of my performance would not have a negative impact in our rate, then proceeded to set us up on the online portal for the SmartRide program. This is where we are able monitor our progress in the program.
It took a few days for it to arrive, but once I received the package I immediately installed it into my vehicle. It was pretty easy, I just plugged it in. Luckily, I can also access the portal on my phone. As a millennial I use my phone more than I use my computer. I’ve been driving with the device for about 3 weeks now, and tend to check my status from time to time. I impressed myself! Subconsciously, when I get in my car, I think about the device judging my driving habits. So I just drive how I normally drive.
I can’t wait to see how the final results look. I feel like my parents may want to enroll their vehicles too to save even more once they see what I may earn as a final discount. The student has become the teacher! I’ll be sure to share more on my experience, the SmartRide program and our potential savings in the near future.
You won’t regret using Nationwide’s SmartRide, I know me and my family don’t.
Nationwide asked that I include this information about the product: Products underwritten by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Affiliates. Columbus, Ohio. Availability varies. Discounts do not apply to all coverage elements; actual savings vary by state, coverage selections, rating factors and policy changes. Enrollment discount applies during data collection; final discount is calculated on driving behavior and could be zero. Final discount applies at the next policy renewal and remains until drivers or vehicles on the policy change.
