12/31 | DIY Faux Wood Star
Hey everyone! Today on the blog we’re going to make a fun DIY faux wood star that is perfect for your holiday decor and just about anyone can make this with these awesome Make it Fun Foam products. I’ve seen wood pallet projects be a huge hit recently and this is even easier to create. Let me show you how.
Supplies : FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam | FloraCraft Smooth Finish® | Sand Paper | Paint Brush | Toothpicks | Americana Multi-Surface Black Tie | Detail Tool | Foam Cutting Knife
Step 1 : Cut your foam pieces 2 inches wide by 12 inches long. Repeat this until you have five cut out.
Step 2 : Cover all five of your pieces with FloraCraft Smooth Finish.
Step 3 : Sand until smooth with your sand paper.
Step 4 : Paint the pieces with Americana Multi-Surface in Black Tie.
Step 5 : Use your detail tool and create your woodgrain pattern!
Step 6 : Create your star shape, and use toothpicks to secure it! If you feel it isn’t going to hold strong enough, add a few drops of glue to each toothpick.
When you’re finished, be sure to take your star and enjoy it in your rustic holiday decor! If you got inspired by this project, you’re going to love the Make it Fun : Holiday eBook! Be sure to check it out here or click the image below.
