Hey everyone! String art is one of my favorite projects and who wouldn’t want to receive a string art project for Valentine’s Day? Today we’re sharing with you exactly how to take scrap pieces of wood from an old pallet to create this fun and easy DIY Valentine’s Day pallet string art project. We painted our wood with Americana Chalky Finish, you won’t believe what one coat can do.

Step 1 : Measure and cut your pallet wood to make three 13″ pieces. Also cut 2 scrap pieces about 10″ long to support the back.
Step 2 : Lay the 13″ pieces side by side and hammer the supporting pieces on the back to secure all the pieces together.
Step 3 : Take your Chalky Finish and paint the front and sides of your pallet board.
Step 4 : Once dry lay your heart cut out in the middle and hammer the nails about a 1/4″ into the wood around the cut out.
Step 5 : Next take your string and tie it around one of your nails. Then in a random and scattered pattern, wrap the string around all of the nails. Don’t stop until you’re satisfied with the look. Then tie a knot on the last nail and cut off the excess.
