Hey Everyone! Are you wanting to add a little glam to your easter decor this year? I bet you do! That’s why today I am sharing this super fun tutorial with you for DIY Gold Leaf Easter Eggs using Flora Craft® Make It: FUN Foam Eggs. They are super inexpensive to make but really do look like they cost a pretty penny. Just like these eggs that I shared last week, they can be put of for years to come!
Let’s jump in to the tutorial! Here is what you will need:
Flora Craft® Make It: FUN Foam Eggs | gold leaf kit | Americana Acrylics in various colors | paintbrush | sandpaper | Flora Craft® Make It: FUN Smooth Finish
Step One: Coat each of the eggs with a thick layer of Smooth Finish. Let it dry overnight and then sand them down lightly so that they are nice and smooth.
Step Two: Paint the eggs with Americana Acrylics in the colors of your choice. I picked some bring and fun colors over your typical Easter pastels.
Step Three: Apply random strokes of the adhesive from the gold leaf kit to one of the eggs.
Step Four: Wrap the egg in a gold foil sheet. Then rub off any excess using a foam brush.
Step Five: Now coat the egg with the sealer from the gold leaf kit.
I just love how they turned out and can’t wait for easter. These will definitely be going in the center of the brunch table. They would look great on your table too. Think of all the in laws you would impress.
Sorry for the crazy amount of pictures. I think I am just slightly obsessed with how they turned out. Okay maybe more than slightly. haha
