Supplies : | 56″x 33″ Wood Sheet | Twin Sized Mattress Topper | Two 30″ long 2 by 4’s | Drill | Screws | Iron | Scissors | Staple Gun | Two Yards of Fabric | Measuring Tape | Cricut Explore Air | Cricut brand Iron On | Cricut 12×12 Mat | Press Cloth
Steps :
Step 1: Lay your fabric down on your work surface, then the mattress topper flat side down on the fabric, then your wood sheet in the middle of the foam and trim around the edges, leaving about 2″ on the sides.
Step 2: Once everything is cut, choose a side and staple the fabric and foam to the back of the board all along the edges, making sure to pull as you go so the fabric is nice and tight on your headboard.
Step 3: Now go on your computer, and using a Monogram Generator create and design your monogram how you like, then import and upload it into Cricut Design Space, and size to fit your headboard. With your Cricut Mat apply the Cricut brand Iron On, making sure its shiny side down. Load the Cricut, making sure to select “Mirror Image”, and change the setting to “Iron On”, then press Go!
Step 4: After your monogram is finished, use the Cricut tools to remove the access so only your monogram is left.
Step 5: Measure and find the middle of your board, then with your iron on the hottest setting, heat up the area you’re going to apply the Cricut Brand Iron On. Position the monogram on the headboard, lay a press cloth over the design, then iron.
Step 6: Once you’ve ironed it well, and have let it cool, remove the transfer sheet carefully to reveal your great monogram!
Step 7: With your drill, measure then screw the 2 by 4’s to the bottom of your headboard on each side, as legs to prop it up behind your bed.
