If you all haven’t noticed, we recently just rebranded and completely redesigned our entire website! It’s been a lot of work, but now that the new site is up I thought it’d be the perfect time to freshen up my home office as I haven’t been able to since we moved. I got inspired by all of the 2017 Design Trends from FrogTape that I just had to incorporate our new branded colors somehow! Let’s jump into how we did it start to finish.
Here’s the before shots. As you can see the gray walls in here aren’t very inspiring as I once thought they would be and I’m ready to brighten this room up in hopes of being able to get even more inspiration as I work.
To get started I headed over to the home improvement store and picked up a pure white paint with built in primer that would be perfect to cover these dark walls.
Once it was completely painted white and dried overnight, I woke up the following morning and start taping off the lines for the stripes. My favorite tip for getting even lines lining your FrogTape side by side (like pictured below) than simply peeling the middle pieces up to leave you with the perfectly even stripes! This takes all the guess work out.
Once I’ve prepared all of the stripes, now I was ready to paint. While I was at the home improvement store, I showed our new colors from our designer and someone was able to assist me to perfectly match them! I purchased small sample bottles for less than $3 dollars! Now paint in your stripes with the coordinating colors.
Once dry, slowly remove the tape and see how well the patented PaintBlock® Technology gave ultra crisp lines! FrogTape gives you more time to decorate by not having to worry about doing any touch ups! Now the room is complete. I love having the desk under the light in the middle of the room and how the stripes look as you look at the room from the door. What do you think?
