I think this idea is great. The materials are cheap because all you need are hot rocks and crayons, but oh my goodness can you create some beautiful stuff. You have to be careful with the little hands on the hot rocks, but the kids always love creating neat designs as the crayons melt on the rocks, too.

It’s so much easier than you think to create your own colors and shapes of crayons. there are so many different ways you can do this like putting them in your cupcake tin in liners, or placing them in different shaped silicone molds and popping them in the oven.
