Let’s face it, every kid loves play dough. I’m an adult and I made this DIY and loved playing with it, too. There’s just something relaxing about playing with play dough. Today we’re going to share with you our special recipe for DIY Kool-Aid Play Dough. It’s colorful, non-toxic, and even smells like the flavors of Kool-Aid you use! This would be a great DIY kids craft to make with them on a lazy afternoon to kill boredom. This recipe for DIY Play Dough only has 6 ingredients that are all safe if consumed so you don’t have to be scared if your little one accidentally eats some. Check out how we made it!
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1/4 Cup Salt
- 1 Packet Unsweetened Kool-Aid Drink Mix (any flavor)
- 1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1/2 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1- In a medium sized bowl, add and mix all of your ingredients together until well combined.
2- Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and stir constantly over medium heat until the mixture combines all together and forms your play dough, this will take 1-3 minutes usually.
3- Transfer your dough to its own container, allow to cool, then repeat the process with any other flavors of Kool-Aid you want to use, then enjoy playing with your DIY Kool-Aid Play Dough!
