Hey Everyone! I love products that make my life easier. I mean, who doesn’t? Life is hard, so anything to make it even just a little bit easier is totally up my alley! One of the things that I love that I don’t do all that much anymore is baking. It just became a lot of work and messy and not enjoyable. But our favorite Pillsbury frosting is now available in a pre-filled pastry bag! Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags make baking fun again because they take the messy step of filling the pastry bag out. How cool is that? When I saw it at my local Food Lion in the baking aisle, I was so excited that I picked one up along with the desire to bake again. I was even more excited because there is a coupon to save one dollar! I’m going to share with you how easy the Pastry Bags are to use and how you can make these easy DIY unicorn cupcakes!
Here is everything you will need to make your very own!You will need:

Step One: Remove the plastic that covers the tip of the Pillsbury Pastry Bag. It is already perforated for you, so it is super easy. Just rip it off- no tools needed! That is definitely a time saver and a huge plus for me!Step Two: Push the icing down until it reaches the tip of the pastry bag. You’ll want to remove any air so that you can have a continuous and beautiful icing design. With the star tip that is included in the Pastry Bag, you are able to create 3 different designs: swirls, stars, and waves. I went with the swirl design for these easy DIY unicorn cupcakes because I thought it had a whimsical feel. I really am happy that I went with that design this time but I am excited to try the other designs on future cupcakes! Step Three: Add sprinkles!!! As many or as few as you like! I loaded them on mine because I love sprinkles, especially these pretty little flaky ones! I picked them up because they reminded me of fairy dust and unicorns are friends with fairies, right?
Step Four: Stick your unicorn horn cupcake topper right in the middle. To make your own, just download this free printable. You’ll want to print them on regular paper, cut them out, trace it onto glitter paper, and then cut the design out of glitter paper. If you have a die-cutting machine, that will make this step so much easier for you because it will do it for you. Just be sure to size them appropriately to fit your cupcake.
How stinking cute are these cupcakes? These would be perfect for a little girl’s birthday party, right? I didn’t have an occasion to make them for except that I think every day should be magical! I made them because they were fun and easy, and I handed them out to my awesome friends and neighbors! So, whether you have an occasion to make them or not, you totally should! Don’t forget to use the coupon for $1 off when you pick up your Pillsbury Pastry Bag from Food Lion!
