Hey Y’all! Remeber last week when I posted my first sewing project with the Cricut Maker? I love that little basket! Anyways, I had more time to play with the awesome new Maker Machine. This time I decided to try an Iron-On project. Because I didn’t have too much time, I opted for one of the make it now projects. I chose this “Beleive in Yourself” one that Amber from Damask Love designed because I love how positive the saying is!
Amber had originally designed the cut file for a t-shirt, but I opted to put mine on a little pencil case instead. I’ll I had to do was resize it down to fit. I love that they let you do that with the Make it Now Projects. Also, the little detailed shadow parts of the design were super small because I made the image smaller. I wanted to remove them, so I used to contour tool and deselected them. That way I was able to save some Iron On. I still love the design in the more simple form too.
All the directions to make the project are in Design Space for you already so I won’t repeat them all here. I do want to remind you how SUPER DUPER important it is to use a press cloth when you are doing a multi-color Iron On Project. If you put the hot iron on to the letters that you have already Ironed On and there is nothing in between, they will stick to the iron and not your project. Doing multi-color designs is so much fun! It gives the project a much more professional look I think. So what will you put your quote on?!
