10/31 | How To Carve a Pumpkin

I love Halloween. I love the DIY Halloween costumes, the trick or treating, seeing all my friends, and of course carving a pumpkin, or two, or five. I think carving a pumpkin is almost a lost art. You see so many people getting so creative with pumpkins nowadays, painting them, adding glitter, or stickers, you rarely see a simple tutorial teaching just how to carve one. It’s as if people are scared to get a carving kit and dig in. Today I’d like to share with you all a fun little tutorial for How To Carve a Pumpkin that’s quick and easy to follow.

Supplies:

One- Cut out the top of your pumpkin, then cut the excess off the top.

Two- With the scraper and the spoon dig out all of the seeds and empty the pumpkin completely, hollowing it out.

Three- You can trace your desired face pattern onto your pumpkin, or you can use a stencil like we did. poke the stencil perimeter, then remove the stencil and carve around the stencil marks.

Wasn’t this a great simple tutorial on How To Carve a Pumpkin? I love how easy and fun it is to carve a pumpkin, and kids and adults alike will enjoy this too!
