10/31 | Mini Chicken & Waffles

Hey Everyone! I am so excited to be popping in here today. It has been a crazy week but this past weekend was amazing! I had some friends over and I served up a nice southern meal. Now that I live in the South (North Carolina) I feel like I need to embrace the culture a little bit. I have begun to slow down my pace of life and I have even sat in a rocking chair on my friend’s front porch! Southern goals, right? This weekend we broke into new ground as I made and served mini chicken & waffles at our little get-together.

When I was at Target picking up some things for the party, I picked up some Tyson® crispy chicken strips. I love that I can easily serve my guests Tyson chicken products made with no antibiotics ever. Their products are made with a long-standing dedication to quality, for the way we want to eat today. The people who make Tyson chicken have been raising chickens since 1935 and they have been faithful to their no antibiotics ever mantra! This is why I buy Tyson chicken and serve my family and friends, it is made with 100% all natural ingredients meaning that there are no artificial ingredients and are minimally processed.

I grabbed a bag of specially marked no antibiotics ever Tyson crispy chicken strips as well as a bag of Tyson® Any’tizers® buffalo style boneless chicken wings so that I could make buffalo mini chicken & waffles along with the more traditional version. While still in the freezer aisle, I grabbed some mini toaster waffles as well.

Tyson chicken is a product I trust so much and this short video really sums up why:

For the traditional version, I just placed a piece of Tyson crispy chicken strips between two mini toaster waffles and topped it off with some authentic maple syrup. This was definitely the crowd’s favorite with all the Southern Belles.

My favorite was undoubtedly the buffalo version!  They were just as easy to make. I just sandwiched a Tyson® Any’tizers buffalo style boneless chicken wing between two waffles and topped it off with blue cheese dressing in there. I am telling you these are what Southern dreams are made of!

Now if I was a true Southern host, I probably would have made it all from scratch, but we aren’t there quite yet. Which I am a-okay with because I can feel good about serving Tyson chicken products to those that I love oh-so much. And you should too! Be sure to pick up your specially marked Tyson chicken products that is raised with no antibiotics ever for your next gathering or for family dinner one night this week! Target always has a great selection. That would be a fun way to switch things up, wouldn’t it? I bet your kids would be so excited for these little mini versions of the Southern staple. They come together really fast too, so it is not like you would have to be slaving over the stove for hours. My favorite kind of meals or recipes, in general, are the ones that just involve some heating and maybe a little mixing but not too much effort. If you aren’t from the South (like me) I would love to hear your review of the Chicken & Waffles! Honestly I would give it a 9/10 star rating. I’ll be making them again without a doubt!
