12/31 | DIY Felt Holiday Pillows

Hello crafty friend! I am so excited to share with you my new DIY holiday pillows that I was able to create with the Cricut Maker and Cricut EasyPress, they make this project so easy, but even if you do not have one of these tools you will still get inspired with this project. I’ve seen lots of pillows using Cricut Iron On or vinyl to make stencils but I was really wanting something different and I decided to find a way to make these out of felt! It wasn’t that hard either. Let me share with you how to do it below. I even have a video tutorial for you.

Supplies:
Fabric Grip Mat
Hot Glue
Canvas Pillows
Heat N Bond
Cricut Felt
Jute Twine
Cricut EasyPress
Cricut Maker
Step 1: Cut your heat n bond to the size of your pillow and fuse together with the Easypress at 300 degrees.

Step 2: Cut off any excess with scissors.

Step 3: Open Design Space and find a stocking you’d like to cut. Hide any extra layers and then select the number of stockings you’d like to create, we’re going to cut three. Also, mirror your image since we’re applying the heat and bond side on top

Step 4: Select Acrylic Felt from the material list to cut your felt with the rotary blade.

Step 5: For our second, we’re taking a simple tree image, uploading it into Design space and then duplicating the image and welding them together. Also be sure to mirror this as well.

Step 6: Now apply the felt with the heat n bond side on top and cut the felt out.

Step 7: Now heat up your canvas pillows, then remove the heat n bond backing from the cutouts and apply to your pillow.

Step 8: Now take your Cricut EasyPress at 300 degrees and bond the felt cut outs to your pillows.

Step 9: Lastly you will stuff your pillows with stuffing, zip, and fluff!
