DIY Valentine’s Day Dream Catcher

I love a good dream catcher! What’s better than a love-themed dream catcher for Valentine’s Day? It is perfect for Valentine’s Day room decor or a simple gift handmade gift idea. I bought everything for this project at the dollar store! How awesome is that? Honestly, I think it would be great teen room decor for all year long, there is nothing wrong with hearts in any month!

You will need: small embroidery hoop | light purple yarn | thick wire | purple pom poms | light purple feathers | pink leather string | hot glue | rubber tipped jewelry pliers

Step One: Use the jewelry pliers to shape the thick wire into the shape of a heart that fits in the embroidery hoop.

Step Two: Use three pieces of yarn to attach and center the wire heart in the embroidery hoop.

Step Three: Wrap the yarn around to cover the section between the wire and the hoop.

Step Four: Glue three pieces of pink leather string to the bottom of the yarn wrapped hoop.

Step Five: Glue a feather to the end of each of the three leather strings.

Step Six: Glue three pom poms to each of the three strings.

It was so simple to make and I think that it looks amazing hanging in my dorm room! It is going to be really hard to take it down after Valentine’s Day. To be honest I probably won’t. Can you believe that this DIY valentine’s day dreamcatcher cost only 6 dollars to make? What a steal!

Valentine’s Tic-Tac-Toe

Valentine’s means different things to different people.  Universally it is known as a day of love but specifically to mom, it means class parties! I’m sure you know of all those store bought valentines where you stick the piece of candy on to a cheesy card. You have probably bought them before too. This year I have a super fun replacement for those boring generic valentines. You’re going to love these Valentine’s Tic-Tac-Toe with Hershey’s Kisses Conversation Candies.

The only thing you will have to buy for these Valentine’s are Hershey’s Kisses Conversation Candies. They have made it super easy for you too. They are available exclusively at Target so you can just pick them up during your weekly (or maybe daily) Target run. These are so cute; they are like the traditional conversation hearts but CHOCOLATE!

Next thing to do is download and print this printable that I made just for you! Four Tic-Tac-Toe boards come on each so print out however many you need. Then cut the individual boards apart. Click HERE to download the FREE printable!

There are a few way to go about this. If you are in charge of the classroom party game you can print a bunch of boards and bring a basket of Hershey’s Kisses Conversation Candies which will be used as X’s and O’s. Or if you’re just sending them in with your child, you’ll probably want to place a few candies in 2 colors inside a little baggie for each classmate.

The kids will have a blast playing this 3D form of the classic game of tic-tac-toe. The winner gets to eat the candy! I promise that this game and treat will go over well- so head to Target and pick up some Hershey’s Kisses Conversation Candies! Who wouldn’t love this #HSYMessageofLove?
