If you’re looking for some fun and simple DIY wall decor, this post is perfect for you! I know us teens are always growing and changing, and out styles are no different. Not only is this DIY Wooden Circle Wall Hanging simple to make, but you can personalize it with your favorite colors to match your current style. One of the things I love about making my own room decor is that I can really make it original, plus I’m not having to pay crazy department store prices for boring decor. If you want to check out how to create this great DIY craft, check it out below.
Here is what you will need to create your own DIY wooden circle wall hanging:
- 9 wooden circles
- white paint
- paint brush
- exacto knife
- ruler
- dowel
- yarn
Step One: Cut 5 of the wooden circle in half using a ruler and exacto knife. You’ll have to go over the cur a few times, but I have found it to be the best tool for the job.
Step Two: Drill holes in the top of every circle and half circle. Drill a hole in the bottom of all except 3 half circles.
Step Three: Paint the wooden circles with the white paint. 2 coats will be great coverage. I painted mine white, but paint them whatever color will best fit in your space!
Step Four: Using the finished picture below as a guide, string them together with the yarn to create a cool pattern! You then want to connect each row to the dowel and hang it up with another piece of yarn.
Wasn’t this project so fun and simple to make? I love the way it turned out and how easy it was to put together. If you or anyone you know needs some great inspiration for DIY room decor show them this post and they’re sure to love it. I’m sure you could even use different wooden shapes if you wanted to spice the post up even more and give it an even more personal touch.
