My Christmas wouldn’t be complete without yummy and cute cookies. I’m sure good ole jolly Santa appreciates them as well. I guarantee you these Hot Cocoa Christmas cookie cups are the cutest Christmas cookies you have ever made! They are super easy and taste delicious.
Hot Cocoa Christmas Cookie Cup Ingredients:
- Store-bought chocolate chip cookie dough
- Candy canes
- Mini marshmallows
- Chocolate ganache
- Brown or white Candy chips
Chocolate Ganache Ingredients:
- 8oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 ¼ cups heavy cream*
- 1 tbsp light corn syrup
Chocolate Ganache Instructions:
Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Simmer cream and corn syrup over medium heat. Pour over chocolate, let stand for 1 minute. Stir until shiny and smooth. Let cool slightly.
Hot Cocoa Cookie Cup Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin/cupcake pan. Place 2-3 tbsp of cookie dough in each cavity. Push the middle in so that is halfway filled, but there is more dough around the edge.
Bake for17-19 minutes. They should expand outside the cavity around the edge to take the shape of a cup. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Pop them out and let them cool for another 10 minutes. Carefully, snap off the top of the candy canes to use as the cup handle. Melt one or two candy chips for about 12 seconds in the
microwave. With a very small brush, use the candy chip as glue and glue the handle to the cup. You will need to be very patient with this. Sometimes you have to use a good dollop so that it has a good structure. Let dry by holding it for 5 minutes. You can set it down and use another cup to hold it in place until it’s dry.
Arrange your cups the way you want to. Fill in with ganache. You may have a little spill, but don’t overspill it. Quickly add 3 or 4 mini marshmallows. They will dry onto the ganache.
