Hey Friends! We are all getting into the holiday spirit around here, are you? Even the pups are loving the holiday season. One of my favorite things is watching the dogs open presents on Christmas morning! I don’t know why but their little paws ripping through the paper and revealing the toy brings me so much joy and I know it makes them happy too. This year as I was starting to decorate, I got to thinking about all those great memories and I decided to make my furry buddy, Trouble, an advent calendar!
I really lucked out because when I went to Meijer to buy the dog treats to fill the little bags up with, I discovered that they are running an incredible sale. If you buy any 4 Milk-Bone, Milo’s Kitchen, Pup-Peroni, or Canine Carry Outs dog treats, you’ll get $3 off your next shopping trip at Meijer. They are running this sale from 11/25 till 12/29/18. You’ll definitely want to pick up the treats for your advent calendar at Meijer and maybe even stock up on some more for later on. Trouble loves these treats. They are great for gods of all sizes, wholesome, and always made with love! I got some Milk-Bone Puffs which are crunchy and delicious treats that will have tails wagging, Milo’s Kitchen Chicken Meatballs dog treats which #1 ingredient is real chicken, Pup-Peroni® mouthwatering dog treats, and Canine Carry Outs® dog treats that are perfectly sized treats for taking on-the-go! He is sure going to love getting to open a little bag of them and enjoy them every day leading up to Christmas.

Here are the steps to making your own DIY Advent Calendar for Dogs:
Step 1: Add fabric iron-on sticker paw print and numbers to 12 little drawstring bags.
Step 2: Cut 4 pieces of rope slightly longer than the width of your frame. Place them evenly spaced out and attach them by hot gluing them to the back.
Step 3: Add a cute holiday stuffed animal to the top of the frame.
Step 4: Fill the little bags with a variety of dog treats. I used Milk-Bone, Milo’s Kitchen, Pup-Peroni, and Canine Carry Outs dog treats from Meijer.
Step 5: Hang the little bags from the rope with clothespins.
Our dogs bring us genuine joy every day, so it is nice to give them these treats that will bring them that kind of joy! Show your pup how much you love them by making them an advent calendar and filling it with their favorite kind of treats!
