Today I want to show you all a super fun tutorial that’s perfect for adults and kids alike! Everyone loves playing with Puffy Paint, but sometimes it can be hard to perfectly use puffy paint when you can’t see your outline. We have eliminated that worry with the Cricut BrightPad! With 5 brightness settings and plenty of durability, it’s perfect for all kinds of crafts and for kids! Keep reading to learn how we made Fun and Easy DIY Window Clings With The Cricut BrightPad.
Supplies:
- Cricut BrightPad
- Multiple Colors of Puffy Paint
- Masking Tape
- Printed Cactus Designs
- Scissors
- Plastic Zip Bags
Steps:
1. The first thing you’ll want to do is cut your printed designs to fit in your plastic zip bags.
2. Now that you cut your cactuses, place them into your zip bags.
3. Before you get to painting, be sure to use some masking tape to secure your design onto your BrightPad. We love the 6-foot cord it has, and because it’s so long we could have our BrightPad plugged into our Cricut Maker that wasn’t even on the same table.
4. Once everything is secure turn your BrightPad on and get to painting! It’s so much easier to see the fine lines. We painted the outline black first. I love using the brightness settings to ensure I’m getting the light I need for the Craft I’m making.
5. Once we gave our outline a few minutes to set a little bit, we filled our cactus in with our chosen colors. I forgot how much fun puffy painting was. I love how the BrightPad makes this process so easy. Plus being able to keep my project secure is a big plus when working with things like puffy paint.
6. We made a second window cling using some different colors. I love how they turned out. With the BrightPads nonslip base, I don’t have to worry about ruining my project. It’s not going anywhere! Once you’re done painting carefully peel up the masking tape and lay your puffy paint designs in a safe place to dry preferably overnight. Once dry carefully peel your new window cling off the zip bag and enjoy!
