4/30 | DIY Decoden Crafts for Teens

Have you ever heard of Decoden? It’s a method of “bedazzling” items that originated in Japan with cellphone cases. Rhinestones, crystals, and even sometimes glitter are added to various items to bling them up!

It’s a trend that started several years ago but it seems to be having a bit of a resurgence again. We love how easy it is to take something plain and simple – even something from the dollar store – and turn it into something special.

You might be wondering how the bling is added to these items. There is usually some type of a white (or sometimes colored) adhesive that some say looks like whipped cream. Some people use a type of air-drying whipped cream, while others have had great luck with white caulking (the kind that comes in a tube).
