Hey Everyone!
Today I have a really fun tutorial for you! I am going to show you how to make a pendant necklace out of clay and Clearsnap products! Don’t be scared, its super simple! I’m not a jewelry maker or a sculptor. This is just a fun project and you get to get your hands a little messy and create something super pretty to wear!
Here is how:
First play with the white clay till it is softer and form a ball. Then, spay it 3 or 4 times with Clearsnap Color Box Spritzers in the color of your choice. Now for the messy part, you may want to wear gloves. Kneed the dye into the clay and roll it until the color is consistent. I was very impressed with how vibrant the color was and how easily it mixed with the clay. Then, roll it out to about a quarter of an inch thick with your rolling pin.
Next you need to take the Clearsnap Molding Mat and gently roll it on to the clay- not too lightly because you want to leave a visible impression.
After you have your patterned clay cut out a one inch square. Choose the section of the clay you think had the best impression. This is what it will look like!
Now place the square piece of clay texture side down on top of your Clearsnap Dye Ink Pad. Very lightly press it into the foam pad. It will look like the picture below on the right. I think this adds so much interest to the piece, I love it!
All you have left to do now is glue it to your bail and wear it! I also decided it needed a little something extra and added 2 flat back pearls in the bottom corner.
I can totally see this necklace with some jeans and a tee shirt, to kind of jazz up the outfit! Thank you all for stoping by today! I Hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Make sure to go like Clearsnap on Facebook!
