Wow. It’s January already and that means that it’s nearly time for Punxsutawney Phil, Wiarton Willie, or one of the other weather-forecasting groundhogs to make their appearances. These super cute Groundhog Day Crafts are the perfect way to make something fun with the kids to mark the day. What do you think? Will the groundhog see his shadow this year?
Cute Groundhog Day Crafts
We have rounded up some adorable craft projects for you to make with your kids. Most of them use simple craft supplies you likely already have around the house: safety scissors, glue, paint and paintbrushes, paper plates, construction paper, paper tubes, paper, styrofoam, or plastic cups, and colored pencils. You might also want to use some googly eyes, felt, craft foam, cardstock, and pompoms for some of the projects below.
Be sure to also check out the really fun crochet project, a beanie hat with a crocheted groundhog applique on it.
Aren’t these fun ideas? There are so many great projects you can make with the kids to brighten up your Groundhog Day and add a little fun to this February.
