The only things that we love more then arts and crafts are Disney and technology. I love doing crafty projects with the kids I babysit, but recently they want to play games on the iPad instead. With the new Disney Imagicademy, they still have an outlet for their creativity and and are learning about new things! Kid’s won’t even know that they are actually learning when they are playing, because it is so fun!
If you aren’t familiar with Disney Imagicademy, it is a new learning brand designed for families with children ages 3 to 8 to inspire a natural love of learning and encourage kids to learn by creating, making and doing. Disney has introduced 30-plus app-based experiences – five of which are available now as part of Mickey’s Magical Math World – along with a companion app for parents – as well as books and other physical products that will be available for back-to-school 2015. The apps and products cover key subject matters that are important for early childhood development, including math, creative arts, science, reading and social and emotional skills.
Mickey’s Magical Arts World is our favorite app, because the kids and I all love arts and crafts, especially with their favorite disney characters! Inside of the app there are so many options for creative play! It covers all the arts!
Drawing with Mickey is so much fun! I love seeing all of the people that the kiddos draw and how excited they are to show me! I’m hoping this wasn’t supposed to look like me, hah!
Of course the girls’ favorite part is hairdressing with Mini! They sure do come up with some interesting hair designs! This guy is all ready for the play now!
The app for parents is great too! With the Disney Imagicademy: Parents app (available on iPads and iPhones) you are able to track your child’s progress in Mickey’s Magical Math World and give them a encouraging virtual “high-five.” It is so much more then just that tho; it is an amazing parenting resource. There are tons of articles to help you help you children to the best of their ability!
