8/31 | DIY Chalk Pops

What’s up everyone? If you’re a parent who needs a fun way to get your kids outside this summer, or if you’re just a kid at heart who wants to make fun summer projects, now is your chance! Today we’re going to show you how we made these awesome DIY Chalk Pops perfect to help kids stay active and play outdoors. You could always go buy boring sticks of chalk at the store, but where’s the fun in that?! This project idea is fun and surprisingly easy! Check out down below how you can make your own this summer!

Supplies : | Plaster Of Paris | Neon Tempura Paint | Popsicle Sticks | Silicone Pop Mold | Scissors | Plastic Cups and Spoons | Measuring Cup |

Steps :

Step 1 : Fill eight plastic cups with 1/3 cup of cold water, then add two tablespoons of paint to each cup. Since there are only six colors, to create your last two mix pink and blue to make purple, and green and blue to make aqua!

Step 2 : Mix your water and paint, then add 2/3 cup of plaster of paris to each of your cups and stir until all combined and smooth.

Step 3 : Now, pour each color into your silicone molds, then lightly tap your mold on your work surface to remove any air bubbles.

Step 4 : In one or two minutes when the chalk starts to harden cut your popsicle sticks a little over half way and insert in the middle of your molds. Wait a few hours for the chalk to fully cure then remove them from the mold and have fun!
