Here’s How To Make It:
Head over to this link and you’ll see this exact project in Cricut Design Space. You will be taken to your canvas where you can start making this project right now! Continue reading to know exactly how to bring it together.
1. Once you measure your notepad and decide how big you want your clipboards, be sure to size your
vinyl as well as your
chipboard in Design Space. We made ours 5 inches by 6.5 inches. Follow the instructions in Design Space as you print your designs on the
Cricut Printable Vinyl. Then place one on your
LightGrip mat and cut it out with your
Cricut. Repeat with the second one.
2. While the
Cricut is cutting your printed designs, prep your
chipboard. Place it on your
StrongGrip mat in the top left corner. Add some masking tape around all of the edges for extra support.
3. When your
printable vinyl has been cut, be sure to move all of your star wheels to the far left of your roller bar. This creates enough room for the thick wood to be cut properly. Once you’ve loaded the mat just press the flashing Cricut button and watch the magic happen!
4. This cut only took ten minutes. Peel your
chipboard pieces off of the mat, and remove the access
chipboard and tape from your mat as well. Take care of your mats!
5. This step is optional, but I loved the idea of adding a little gold accent to the edges of these clipboards. This also matches our gold binder clips perfectly!
6. Once the paint has dried peel up your
printable vinyl and carefully apply it to your
chipboard. I’ve found its easier when you fold the vinyl up like a taco, line up the top and bottom, and work from the middle out. Repeat the process with the second one.
7. Now all you need to do is clip on your notepad and get creative! Use this as a daily to-do list, weekly reminders, grocery list, whatever you’d like!
