9/30 | DIY Command Center – Back To School Organization

By now everyone should be back in school and enjoying their school life. I remember when I was in school I had a calendar on my phone and a planner in my backpack but sometimes that just wasn’t enough. I would still end up missing appointments or double booking myself. I was thinking of project ideas I could create to help students stay more organized. Finally, I came up with this DIY Command Center perfect for Back To School Organization.  We bought everything for it from Walmart and added some fun designs and things from the amazing membership site Makers Gonna Learn. Go check it out, and keep reading to find out how you can make this fun back to school project!

  • Dry Erase Board
  • Simple Monthly Callendar
  • Magnets

  1. Open up your dry erase board. The one I bought came with some little adhesive strips and I used them to stick the calendar to the dry erase board. If you’re in a dorm room than you can’t damage the walls or anything so this is a great solution to prop up on your desk like we did!
  2. I stuck the calendar on the bottom of the dry erase board so I still had plenty of room to write school assignments and reminders on the top.
  3. I got some super cute stickers from Makers Gonna Learn and used Cricut Print and Cut Vinyl to adhere them onto the board and also onto the calendar itself!
  4. I added some magnets in case I wanted to add business cards or photos as well.

Now you never have to be unorganized! I hope you enjoyed this great teen craft idea. This is a great project that you can personalize to fit anyone style. I love the way it turned out!
