Do you all remember last year when I created a splatter paint DIY deer head? It was super popular and a lot of you enjoyed that project. I’m back today with another great deer head project. I was at the craft store the other day and they have them back in stock, so I just knew I needed to create something with it. I was also needing a fun wreath to hang on my studio’s door. Let me share how I took a plain styrofoam wreath and the paper-mache deer head and turned it into a fun holiday wreath!
Supplies : Paper Mache Deer Head | Foam Wreath | Silver Americana Multi-Surface Metallic | Red Ribbon | Hot Glue | Foam Brush
Step 1 : Paint your paper mache deer head with your Americana Multi-Surface Metallics in silver. This may need two coats depending on your paper mache.
Step 2 : Wrap your ribbon around the wreath form. Be sure to keep it tight and together. You do not want to see the foam at all.
Step 3 : Once it is wrapped around the whole wreath form, you’re going to want to hot glue the end of the ribbon down.
Step 4 : Now that your deer head is painted and dry, simply hot glue it onto your wreath form.
Step 5 : Hang your wreath on your door or in your room and enjoy it!
I hope you enjoyed this DIY Deer Head Wreath tutorial. I had a blast making it with my favorite Americana Multi-Surface paints. Doesn’t the deer head look great? You will be able to save a lot of money creating your own wreath instead of buying one. Leave a comment and let us know what you’re going to do with your DIY wreath.
