3/31 | DIY Easter Treat Bags

Who is having company for Easter? It is always so fun to be surrounded by loved ones and usually, there is good weather on Easter so you can get outside for an egg hunt! These DIY Easter treat bags would be a great gift for the egg hunt winners! They are inexpensive to make but so so cute! It would also be adorable to make one for each guest and set it on their plate at the dinner table!

To make your own DIY Easter treat bags you will need: small drawstring canvas bags, spring fabric, embroidery thread &needle/ fabric makers & googly eyes, hot glue, pins, scissors, and a sewing machine

Step One: Draw the shape of the bunny ear slightly bigger than how bit you want it to be on one of the canvas bags and t cut it out.

Step Two: Trace that on to the back of the spring fabric. I decided to use this bright floral print, but you can use whatever you like.

Step Three: Cut out the two ear shapes from the spring fabric.

Step Four: Place one spring fabric and one canvas ear right sides together, pin, and sew around it leaving the bottom unsewn. Repeat for the other ear.

Step Five: Flip the ear right side out and hot glue or sew the ears to the top of the inside back of the bag.

Step Six: Hot Glue googly eyes to the front of the bag. I had originally planned to embroider the eyes, but I like the googly eye look and it was way easier!

Step Seven: Using the fabric makers draw a nose, mouth, and whiskers for the bunny.

They are so stinking cute that I just can’t get enough! Even though I took the easy way out by deciding not to embroider their little faces on, I still love how the turned out! No matter how you decide to make them, your guests will love them. Just don’t forget to fill them with candy, because THAT would Be TRAGIC!
