8/31 | DIY Ombre Rainbow Coasters
I love creating things out of nothing. That is exactly what I did for today’s project-DIY Ombre Rainbow Coasters. You probably have everything you need to make these in your house right now. They will bring a pop of color into your home. If you are a lover of bright colors, check out last week’s post that has 15 different Rainbow DIYs. If you aren’t a big fan of bright colors, you can still use this tutorial with any pattern paper.
You will need: Scrapbook Paper | Scissors | Chipboard circles Americana Decou-Page Outdoor formula | Foam Brush
Step 1: Trace the chipboard circles on to the back of the scrapbook paper. Try to get them pretty close together so you don’t waste paper. Make 2 circles per coaster. Also, if you don’t have any chipboard circles laying around the house, You can cut them out of a cereal box!
Step 2: Cut out the circles you just traced. Be sure not to cut inside of the lines making the paper too small.
Step 3: Add a generous layer of Decou-Page to the chipboard circle.
Step 4: Add the paper onto the Decou-Page covered coaster. Add another layer on top to seal and protect the coasters.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to the back of the coasters as well. That way they will stay completely protected and will be two sided.
Aren’t they so summer and fun!? Perfect for summer parties as well as everyday use. The best part is- they cost literally nothing to make. So what are you waiting for??
