I have quite the collection of rocks. I collect them everywhere I go and not just exotic places. Sometimes it is just in the parking lot or on a walk in my neighborhood. I especially like when I find small smooth rocks. My collection is growing quickly and I have been looking for ways to craft with them. I think these painted rock flowers are so cool. If you don’t collect rocks like me, they sell bags of them at the craft store.
You will need: rocks of various sizes | stick | wood blocks | e6000 | Americana Multi-Surface in a variety of colors | paint brush
Step 1: Arrange the rocks on the wood blocks in the shape of flowers. You can make multiple small flowers or one big one on each. At this point you should also be thinking of what colors you want everything to be.
Step 2: Paint the wood blocks the background color. I chose this beautiful Waterfront blue for the background of both.
Step 3: Paint the rocks different colors to be the petals and centers. I love these bright fun colors for Spring.
Step 4: When everything is dry, glue the painted rocks on in the formation you had planed.
Step 5: If you want to make stems for any of your flowers, just go outside in the backyard and find a thin stick. Paint it green and glue it on.
I love being able to put my rock collection to use in cool projects like these DIY painted rock flowers! They are the perfect room decor for spring. These were so easy and fun; this would be a great project to do with kids too.
