Step 1 : Cut your 1×4 into two different pieces. Your first piece needs to be cut at 5 1/2 inches and your other piece needs to be cut at 4 inches.
Step 2 : Sand your freshly cut pieces with your sand paper.
Step 3 : Glue your pieces of wood together to form an “L” shape. Hold for 30 seconds. Glue your foam pineapple onto the wood too. You now have a unfinished bookend.
Step 4 : Head outside with your bookends to spray paint. Apply a coat of spray paint evenly over the entire bookend. Be sure to hold the spray paint 6-8 inches away from bookends.
Now add your DIY bookends to your college desk and you’re all set to study. Isn’t it great having all this extra time now that you don’t have to worry about moving furniture? When you rent furniture on demand with CORT, it’s there when you need it and gone when you don’t. It’s honestly that easy.
