Hello there! It’s Ginger from Ginger Snap Crafts, and I am so excited to be over here at A Little Craft in Your Day. 🙂 I always have a little craft in my day! haha! I also love to include my kiddos in my crafty endeavors. I love making things for them & with them. With fall coming up quick, we have had lots of time to spend outside playing games, attending carnivals & parties & having fun together. This DIY Ring Toss Game is perfect for all those fall parties you have coming up! Annnnnd best of all, this game uses those pool rings you used all summer long. So, don’t put them away YET! You’ll need them in just a bit. Let’s get started. 🙂
To make this ring toss game you will need:
plywood
wooden dowel
wood screw
table saw
sandpaper
wood glue (optional)
pool rings
drill

I made two of these, so we could use them for our fall carnival. You can then have two kiddos play at once, and then they can see who can get the most rings on. A little competition is always fun. 🙂
First, I cut 2 pieces of plywood to 12 by 10 inches. I made a little X right in the middle. This is where you’ll screw in your dowel.
I cut the wooden dowel into two 15-inch pieces. Tip: Before I screwed my dowel in, I predrilled a hole, so my dowel didn’t split when I screwed it in. You can also put a little dab of wood glue on the end before you drill it in. This is to give it some added strength.
Now the only thing left to do is play! 🙂
