Terrariums are so popular and there are so many ideas going around it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think this DIY Tiered Terrarium is mine! I used two different sized wooden trays and painted them using Americana paints in three different colors, glued them together and added the beautiful succulents. You can add personal touches and use any succulents you like! Here’s how we made it.
Step 1: Take a paintbrush and paint your larger tray with Indian Turquoise. Repeat in Rose Gold for your smaller tray. Allow both to dry.
Step 2: Once your trays are dry, take your paint in Gray Storm and paint the rim of your larger tray for some added detail. Once again let dry.
Step 3: Take your glue and adhere the small tray onto the larger one wherever you like! I chose to glue mine to the side, sort of catty-cornered.
Step 4: After your glue has set, add your succulents, rocks, moss, whatever you like. Now go enjoy your new beautiful terrarium!
I may have to make another one, I love it so much! It was so simple to make and didn’t take long at all, you all should make one to match your decor. I placed mine on a table in the entryway of our office and we get complimented on it all the time. It’s a very inexpensive idea and you’re going to love being able to paint it with any Americana Acrylic color of choice.
